A cooperative, non-profit, group of local West Virginia artisans. The gallery’s goal is to offer affordable, quality and locally made art to Alderson and surrounding areas, as well as to support talented local artisans. In addition to the wares of the dedicated co-op members, the gallery regularly features guest artisans to display and sell their craft. Special classes scheduled throughout the year. Winter hours are currently Thursday through Saturday, 11:00am to 4:00pm.

A shopping and architectural experience, J.M. Alderson General Merchandise (Alderson’s) was established by the Alderson family in 1887. The first building burned in the early 1930s and was replaced by the current building, which has one of the most pristine examples of Art Deco store interiors in existence. Fourth generation owners manage the store and continue to make it an anchor in the Alderson Historic District. You’ll find old fashioned shop cases that feature a wide selection of jewelry and other accessories, eclectic gifts, books, Alderson and West Virginia related items, and antiques.
